What a widget can do

Widgets are mini-apps pinned to MOLTamp's sidebar. They subscribe to event streams from your AI agent — Claude Code hook events, Codex tool calls, Aider diff edits — and render whatever you want from them. Token usage, cost trends, currently playing music, calendar, recent commits, weather, an oscilloscope. The pattern is small: an HTML/JS module, a manifest, and an IPC channel.

All community widgets are free, sandboxed, and hot-reloadable. Drag onto any slot in the sidebar to activate. Long-press to remove. Your layout persists across sessions, and switching skins doesn't reset it.

FAQ

About MOLTamp widgets

What is a MOLTamp widget?

Widgets are interactive panels that live alongside your AI terminal — a Claude Code hook event stream, a Now Playing music card, a token usage counter, a calendar pinned to your sidebar. They run inside MOLTamp without modifying the underlying CLI.

Are these widgets free?

Yes. Every community widget in the gallery is free to download. MOLTamp is free forever; the optional $20 Pro unlock removes the support popup but does not gate widgets.

How do I install a widget?

Download the .moltamp file, double-click, and MOLTamp imports it into your Custom Widgets library. Drop it onto any sidebar slot to activate it.

Can I build my own widget?

Yes. Widgets are HTML/JS modules with a small manifest. The widget docs cover the IPC surface and the registry. Once built, you can publish it back to the community gallery from your dashboard.
