    • New: in-app updates — when a new version is out, click Download Now right in the update window. MOLTamp streams the correct build for your Mac, verifies it with Apple Gatekeeper before it ever opens, and mounts it for drag-to-Applications. No more trip to the website
    • New: 6 more built-in skins — aurora, candyfloss, interference, loading, sumi, and vaporwave now ship with the app
    • New: two new music visualizers — Aurora Veil and Warp Drive
    • New: Reduce Motion / Low Power mode (Settings → General → Performance) — caps animation at 30fps and honors your macOS Reduce Motion setting
    • Improved: animation now runs on a 60fps budget and pauses entirely when MOLTamp is hidden or in the background — noticeably lower CPU and fan on high-refresh displays
    • Improved: now-playing detection no longer wakes a closed Spotify or Music app, and polls more efficiently
    • Fixed: the code editor now lights up color swatches, code folding, symbol outlines, and JSON validation — and a family of editor-related crashes is resolved
    • Fixed: skin asset limit raised to 10MB per file, and the Obsidian skin's banner GIF now displays for everyone (not just the author's machine)

    • New: first-run walkthrough — a guided tour that auto-plays on first launch, walking you through the launch screen and then the cockpit. The spotlight is click-through, so you interact with the real UI as you learn it. Replay any time from View → Launch Tutorial
    • Fixed: state-reactive skins and widgets now actually react — the shell state attribute (idle / thinking / streaming / tool-use / permission / error / complete) was previously never written, so logos and widgets that depended on it stayed dark. They now light up correctly
